When you put your energy into every platform, especially early on, you’re only stagnating your growth. I’ve learned that there are really two types of podcasters. We have the people that never market their show and then the hosts that try too hard to market their show. This struggle comes from the lack of a plan for your podcast.

Podcasting is the best method to express your mission. Understand that expressing your mission will allow you to earn all the money you desire. Marketing your podcast is about having a plan and creating the content before it is needed. Planning your episodes effectively includes:

  1. Decide on the platform where you’re going to build your brand. Get one platform and commit to it! You’ll grow a lot faster than putting your energy everywhere at once.
  2. Connect with industry leaders. Find the leaders in your market and make the connection. Growth is inevitable when you know the right people AND have great content.
  3. Get a content style. You don’t need to create all types of marketing content for your podcast but you need to have at least one.
