Coaches are struggling to build their brands and get clients and it’s only going to get worse. There are more and more people claiming to have specific skills right now so the markets are being flooded. So how can coaches start to separate themselves?Answer: Create their own lane. Instead of struggling to penetrate a market and become relevant, focus on creating your own lane. Do something no one else is doing in a way that no one else can do it. You’ll never struggle to find clients again.
Step 1: Your own system! Create a VERY unique system that would be nearly impossible to dipulicate. Only you should be able to deliver this. It should include different steps and processes. Coaches create their own industry to acquire more clients with less stress.
Step 2: The ideal prospect. I’m about to scare you but you need to get more specific. I’m sure you’ve heard this more than enough but you need to go deeper. Think of your niche as layers. Start going deeper and deeper on your ideal prospects. Every level should be a different characteristic.
Step 3: Outreach. Connect with your ideal prospects. Do this day by day, one at a time. Offer them basic solutions to their current problems. Prove yourself worthy and they’ll come to you with their bigger problems. That’s where the money is!
Gone are the days of penetrating a market. The guy with the bigger marketing budget is going to win. You need to be the only one doing what you’re doing. NO one else should be close to you! Every industry is crowded with “experts” and course creators. Smart coaches create their own industry.
The absolute best way to separate yourself is to create your own platform. That’s what I’m here for. I have a program that helps speakers, coaches and authors create their own market using podcasts. Connect with me if you’d like to work on building your platform for the new decade.
